CALL FOR NOMINATIONS This Document in Word Format Project Description Uniquely Manitoba will deliver a series of workshops to Aboriginal artists, crafters and specialty food producers who have demonstrated artistic talent. The program will start Tuesday, January 11th, 2011 and end on March 24, 2011. Classes will be offered four afternoons per week from 12:30 – 4:00 p.m.

Successful candidates will be interested in and committed to taking their artistic talents to the “next level”. They will be dedicated to attending all workshops and completing assignments. Computer skills will be an asset. On completion, participants will have completed a business plan, a marketing strategy and developed a portfolio with promotional materials. They will have a mini website which will accommodate a personal gallery of up to 50 images and have the knowledge and skill to maintain their site. Successful participants will be listed in the Uniquely Manitoba Virtual Gift Show and included in the annual magazine. They will be connected to several Aboriginal role models, resources and networking groups. Our program is designed to assist Aboriginal artisans in developing confidence, planning for the future and will take into account a wide range of education and experience. The series of workshops will be offered at a downtown location on Portage Avenue in Winnipeg.
